When I was a little girl, I couldn’t cope with things that I cared too much about. I would freeze. Mio Vesović touches precisely this tender spot of the unendurable, but completely dumb, irritation of emotions. He touches us with photography.
It is difficult to put in words a tenderness that borders on pain. Like light that is too bright, like too much happiness or laughter, his photographic touch can induce pain.
– Stop it, Ves, it’s too much!
Vesović consciously and intentionally rejects everything else and fosters tenderness. He is tender towards light, tender towards nonsense, tender towards people and stupidities.
